Opening times in Munich
Learn when shops, museums and other tourist attractions open and close in Munich, so you can plan to make the most of your trip!
Munich's shops, monuments and museums may not share the same opening times as your city. They all tend to be open during the daytime, so if you're planning to shop and enjoy a few cultural activities, you'll need to plan your activities to make sure you can visit everything!
Shop opening times
Most big stores in the city centre are open Monday to Friday between 9 am and 8 pm; and Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. Smaller local or independent shops will probably shut earlier, around 6:30 pm, and may shut at midday for a lunch break.
The majority of shops are closed on Sundays, so if you're planning food shopping for a picnic, or purchasing souvenirs, do it in advance to avoid disappointment! If you're really desperate, some train station shops are open on Sundays.
You're unlikely to find 24 hour shops here.
